Dr. Moyer of Moyer Total Wellness, contributed key medical testimony that helped pass the Colorado Wellness Law which bans trans fats in Colorado Schools. Trans fats have been banned in Colorado’s schools with the passing of the SB 68 bill.  Colorado joins California, Deleware, Oregon, and other states in the next move to improve our nation’s health, beginning with our nation’s youth. Dr. Moyer of Moyer Total Wellness, contributed key medical testimony in the movement of this bill. 

 

Abc News recently highlighted America’s obsession with weight loss. Americans spend $40 Billion a year on weight loss, from diet pills to books to the latest diet trend. Ironically, more than one third of Americans are obese, the more we spend, the more the scale moves in the wrong direction. In this video, Abc looks at the “truth” in the ads for weight loss and the secret to truly becoming healthy.

 

Looking to lose weight?  A recent study has shown that the secret to weight loss is a combination of eating less foods in saturated fat, exercising more and joining a weight loss program.  The study also presented evidence that diet pills, fad diets, and liquid diets are unsuccessful in achieving weight loss. The SB 68 bill has just passed the Senate in Colorado, joining other states like California, Oregon, and Delaware. The result is an incredible step forward in our nation’s health, beginning with the move to ban trans fats in Colorado schools. For the first time, the American Cancer Society on Thursday published formal guidelines for cancer survivors, focusing on the health benefits of maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly, and eating a healthy diet. The guidelines are published online in CA: Cancer Journal for Clinicians.
