Hi, I’m Katrina!

I’ve been part of the team at Moyer Total Wellness since the summer of 2017, and it’s the homiest job I’ve ever had.  So homey, I refused to stop working there even after I relocated to California in 2020.  While I can no longer offer massage therapy at the office, I do still write weekly blogs for the website.  Writing is kind of my favorite thing to do, aside from being a massage therapist of course!  I guess one could say I haven’t actually worked in years; I’ve just been having fun!

Though I enjoy my massage therapy career and plan on being one for the rest of forever, I also have experience with nursing and teaching.  I received a Bachelor’s in Health Science in 2013, with a concentration in Community Health Education.  Throughout college, I worked as a nurse’s aide, while also being an unpaid intern who taught awkward health classes.  I don’t regret either of those experiences, as my disappointments often provide great writing material, but I found that I disliked both nursing and standing at the front of a classroom.  (I was too attached to my patients, and middle schoolers are terrifying.)  That being said, I knew I still wanted to work in healthcare.  And I wanted to keep teaching too… I just didn’t like looking people in the face while doing so.

For me, that’s the beauty of writing blogs for Moyer Total Wellness!  I get to combine my passions for health, education, and writing all at once; but nobody has to hear my obnoxious Baltimore accent when I deliver the info!  Some of my favorite works are “What are the Benefits of CBD?” and “The Stiff Neck – Causes, Prevention, and Treatment”.  Take a look at those for some enlightenment and a warm chuckle!
