You work hard, play hard, and your body takes a toll. Our goal is to reduce your day-to-day pain, help you move better, and ultimately lead a healthier lifestyle.
Strength training helps prevent the age-related decline of muscle mass, keeps your bones and heart healthy, and helps prevent pain and injury in everyday life. Muscle mass also plays a role in maintaining a healthy metabolism.
Every personal training client begins with a movement assessment to determine your individual movement patterns and identify what areas need to be focused on or corrected. From there, a personalized fitness regimen is constructed to help you reach your fitness goals. Corrective exercises may also be prescribed for any problem areas.
What We Will Work On?
- Stabilization: We will improve balance and core stabilization
- Strength: We will increase muscle size
- Power: We will focus on high intensity training combining force, velocity and coordination drills.
- Flexibility: We will promote the optimal range of motion and overall sense of wellness.
What is Functional Fitness?
Functional fitness is defined as using strength training to improve balance, coordination, force, power, and endurance to enhance someone’s ability to perform activities of daily living. For example, a squat is a functional exercise because it also works the muscles you use to squat down to grab the phone you dropped.
