B12 Injections

Why B12 Injections?

Vitamin B12 written on a chalkboardDo you drink coffee or alcohol? Take acid reducing medication?  Digestive issues?  Have an auto immune disorder? Vegetarian or vegan diet?

Many of these lifestyle habits inhibit proper absorption of b12 as oral supplements may not be in a form your body can breakdown. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) “Causes of vitamin B12 deficiency include difficulty absorbing vitamin B12 from food, lack of intrinsic factor (e.g., because of pernicious anemia), surgery in the gastrointestinal tract, prolonged use of certain medications (e.g., metformin or proton pump inhibitors) and dietary deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency is treated with vitamin B12 injections, because this method bypasses any barriers to absorption.”

B12 supports red blood cell production, nervous system support and is a mood stabilizer.

B12 deficiency can appear as fatigue, constipation, brain fog, and cognitive decline, numbness and tingling of arms and limbs, anemia, heart palpitations, etc.
