The short-term goal for most of our clients is to get out of pain. The long-term goal is to keep the pain from coming back, having more energy, and reducing overall stress in the body.
That’s why we have created the 4 Weeks to Body Wellness program. It includes everything a person needs to get out of pain, improve their posture, and begin a new exercise program designed to achieve lasting results.
How Do You Get Started?
The program starts with a Postural Consultation with one of our Doctors of Chiropractic. Information about your body is collected and shared with the other therapists at Moyer Total Wellness so everyone is working towards the same goal: bringing you back into balance.
The program begins with 12 visits in the first month, approximately 3 visits per week. Each week, clients in the 4 Weeks to Body Wellness program, clients will meet with a chiropractor, a body worker, as well as fitness specialist.
Our chiropractors will mobilize structures in the body in order to reduce pain, optimize joint integrity, improve overall posture, and track progress through the program. Chiropractors use myofascial release techniques to lengthen tight tissues, remove painful knots from muscles, as well as use joint mobilization techniques to restore movement and position to individual joints. Our doctors also prescribe exercises strengthen weak muscles.
Each week, clients in the 4 Weeks to Body Wellness program will meet with a body worker to continue the process of removing physical (and neurological) stress from the body. Their goals are to eliminate painful knots, called trigger points, from the muscles. This “knots” often are the cause of pain. Additionally, any tissues that are responsible for pulling us into bad posture are lengthened.
Our fitness experts provide education and motivation to achieve lasting results. The best long term strategy for minimizing the risk of debilitating musculoskeletal pain is lengthen tight tissues as well as strengthen weak muscles. Our fitness services will teach clients how to perform workouts designed specifically for their body.
What’s Included in the 4 Weeks to Body Wellness Program?
4 Body Work
* Body Work sessions can either be with our acupuncturist, our Rolfer, or one of our massage therapists. Many clients try sessions with each of the providers to determine what is most effective for them.
** Fitness training sessions can be with our Yoga Therapist or our Personal Trainer in a gym setting.
What Else Do You Need to Know?
The program can be purchased as a bundle for only $800 (saving over $300). The sessions expire in 3 months, however, for best results, the 12 visits in the program should be completed in 4 weeks. After the first month, many clients choose to become VIP Members at Moyer Total Wellness and continue with 1-8 visits per month until their desired results are achieved.
The last visit in the program should be with your chiropractor to review the results gained in the first month. Most clients are completely out of pain in the first month, but require follow up visits to maintain the results and to continue to make lasting improvements.
