This type of personal training and fitness is not intimidating or complicated but is designed to help make movement a part of your everyday life.  Our training sessions are appropriate for any aged client at any fitness level.  Our sessions are not “high intensity”.  The top two goals of our fitness services are to teach clients how to work out for their body and to improve posture (or reverse the effects that sitting and stress has on our body).

The body was designed to be in motion.  When we sit, certain muscles get tight and certain muscles get weak, which leads to postural changes and eventually pain.  Improving mobility is a big component of our “postural” workout. The mobility program based on two concepts:

  • There are 10 muscle groups that get short and need to be stretched
  • All the joints of the body need to move through their full range

The strength component of our workouts is based on “The Big Five”.  There are five basic strength training exercises that together target all the muscle groups of the body.  We generally start with the ones that reverse the changes that occur when we sit too much.  Additionally, our fitness programs target the “core muscles” or muscles at our center of gravity, to improve stability and balance.

Our personal training services are performed in our 3,000 square foot fitness center.  Our fitness center has all the equipment larger gyms have and showers and locker rooms too. Just bring a water bottle with you.

Fitness Rates

Our fitness services include personal training and private yoga sessions.

* An exam is not required but recommended. Scheduling an exam before starting personal training services allows us to better understand your body and your goals. During the exam, certain tests may be performed such as range of motion, muscle length assessments, or specific \orthopedic testing to determine what may be causing stiffness or pain in your body.

Semi-private yoga sessions are available upon request. Please call to schedule.

We require a Credit Card on file to schedule any appointment at MTW. If you need to reschedule, please notify the office at least 24 hours prior to your appointment start time to avoid the Late Cancellation Fee. When possible, our massage therapists prefer to receive cash tips or tips through Venmo.
