This type of training is not intimidating or complicated. I want my clients to love the workout and make movement something that is second nature in maintaining their health and vitality. Accordingly, there will not be any unrealistic goals, promises or shame around ideal body image, or what you can or cannot do in the gym.
What I Prioritize
I care about body awareness, dynamic movement and breathing efficiently. The “techniques” are nothing you haven’t seen before because it’s really not about techniques in general. I try to help people use, and more importantly, feel and engage their bodies in a new way. I help people connect breath to movement and improve form to get the most out of the experience. Regardless of whether for you that means seeking more mental presence, stress relief, strength, or resilience that supports the natural aging process. This type of workout will translate to improvement in any activity you love, such as skiing, dancing, etc. It will also support you with any activity you struggle with, like sitting at a desk or in a car for extended periods of time.
What’s the Workout Like?
Think a blend of mat Pilates, functional movement, yoga, and my own self-discovery as a Rolf® Structural Integration practitioner and student of hundreds of classes, including countless inspiring teachers and modalities.
I’ll teach you how to perfect your form, to really feel and engage with your muscles.
The session is meant to challenge your mind and body. That is an integral part of how growth, whether physical, intellectual, or emotional, happens. That being said, I will never encourage you to go far past your limit. My clients generally report feeling rejuvenated and encouraged both during and after the workout. The movements, though challenging, should feel inherently good on your body.
